The people that want to silence free speech are not the good guys

And you can't trust small local "independent" media either.

Tyrants have been silencing people who dare to oppose them in various ways for centuries. In the past 100 years plus since the Bolshevik communists took power in Russia things have been much worse. Of course it was the same story with the closely related fascist Axis powers before and during WWII. Yes, fascists are closely related to communists, and of course they are on the left with every other system that features a big and powerful government that exerts extensive control over people’s lives.

While it needs some refinement, I took a stab at laying out a 2 dimensional political spectrum a while back. A one dimensional line is not remotely adequate. The size and power of government is the most telling feature of any given political system, and thus that factor determines what is left and what is right.

It’s worth noting that the leftists in this country now take some libertarian and even anarchist positions, such as on drug use, trans lunacy, and other “social” causes that are not and have not been tolerated in communist countries. That’s due to the fact that those causes are leading to the destruction of this country as it was founded and as it has been since the founding. We’re closer than ever to the breaking point, and if it happens most of the useful idiots on the left that helped things along will be in for a rude awakening.

I was prompted to write this post based on an article in a small local paper. The headline and the content illustrate my point here quite well, and also show that even small local media are left wing. The headline is “Turning Point event at Perry High draws criticism”, and the content includes complaints by parents and a student who want the Turning Point USA student group at that high school to be banned. Turning Point USA is a very pro American and Conservative organization, so of course anti American leftists hate it.

The paper bills itself the “Chandler Independent”, and absurdly claims to be “nonpartisan”. If it were really non partisan, the headline would have been “Parents and Students seek to ban a pro America student group”. An even more accurate headline would be “Leftists seek to censor free speech and ban their political opponents at Perry High”. The author’s Twitter is here, and while his own tweet commentary is limited, he retweets various hard core leftists.

One of those retweets has the reliable left wing lie I refer to in the footnote on my spectrum above, that Republicans are fascists.

Notably Ruben Gallego is one of the many putrid and corrupt democrat politicians in Arizona, and below you can see where just over a year ago he suggested that protesting truckers have their trucks seized by the government:

Then a few months later Gallego was on MSDNC in a profane rant blaming Ted Cruz for the Uvalde school shooting. The picture links to the story:

If you thought that retweet above from the article’s author was an anomaly, below are two in a row back in December. Of course Stephen King is one the the most rabid leftists you can find (In spite of the fact that capitalism has made him rich.), and Valerie Bertinelli is complaining about Elon Musk buying Twitter. Of course Bertinelli would have been just fine with the Musk purchase if he was not bringing free speech to Twitter, and exposing the various government crimes in suppressing free speech on Twitter in the past.

Getting back the not at all “independent” article, it includes this bit about one of the speakers at a school board meeting:

Brandy Reese, a parent, spoke, saying she found out last fall about the presence of the Turning Point USA club at Perry. While the club isn’t new to Perry, Reese said the recent event alarmed her.

“Turning Point was behind the hate-filled, anti-democracy sign campaign against Clint Smith,” Reese said. Smith finished a distant third in an attempt to unseat now-four-term U.S. Congressman Andy Biggs, who’s listed on Turning Point’s website, tpusa.com, as a contributor.

Reese said Turning Point USA is intolerant and is intent on spreading messages of hate — especially ones targeting LGTBQIA youth.

“I propose this club has no place on our campuses, where it should be our goal to encourage the pursuit of truth, community, collaboration, equity and inclusion,” Reese said. “Unfortunately, I was told that because the club is student-led, it would therefore be allowed. I request CUSD policies be amended to clubs such as this.”

Now if you’re actually “independent” and a real journalist, you immediately point out how this woman’s comments are fully contrary to the 1st amendment, and you note that she is also specifically attempting to silence her political opponents. When you’re a staunch pro America Conservative like me, you point out the above and add that this woman is a full on fascist/communist, and that she is also apparently one of those who supports the horrid child genital mutilation I talked about in my previous post. At a minimum she is encouraging the “trans” lunacy and thus has no business being around kids at all.

Of course as a left winger the woman brings out the same old left wing attacks that show she has no real argument. The trusty old “hate” that’s been around for decades to label anyone who doesn’t agree with them, and the much newer and incredibly ironic “anti-democracy”. The left is as anti-democracy as Stalin and Hitler ever were.

A student also spoke at the board meeting, and here was part of the article’s description of that:

Students also spoke at the Feb. 22 meeting, including Corinne Collins, a Perry student who identified as part of Support Equality in Arizona Schools. She read a statement from a gay male student who couldn’t attend the meeting, saying he doesn’t feel safe disclosing sexuality to simply any random classmate.

“The event presented very partisan and questionable information,” Collins read. “As students, this is unacceptable.”

So first, is the student referring to a need for a safe space where everyone agrees with him? If physical attacks were happening it would be all over national news let alone local news, so that claim is right up there with Jussie Smollett’s lies. Second, why would anyone in their right mind be disclosing what should be their private personal information to random strangers in any situation?? I’m sure that very few “random” strangers, classmates or not, want someone that is a random stranger to them coming up to announce details of their private life.

In that last part the student states the information was “partisan and questionable”. Rephrasing her comment for accuracy: “The event presented information that counters my anti-American world view, and I didn’t like it.”

She went on to try and speak for all students saying it was “unacceptable”. Rephrasing her last sentence above: “Because I did not like the content, I’m going to speak for everyone and demand that this content be censored, because I have no clue at all how important free speech is, and I don’t care anyway because I’m a budding tyrant.” Did I get that right or no?

The article goes on to smear Kurt Rohrs, a non leftist board member who attended the Turning Point USA event that triggered the leftists. Another left wing loon was clearly enraged that Rohrs dared to attend an event where people disagree with her, so she went off on a ridiculous rant:

Katie Nash, a parent who also spoke, said she’s “outraged and disturbed” by Rohr’s actions and the message it sends to the community. She said Rohr’s attendance at the Feb. 21 event where well-known Turning Point contributor “MAGA Hulk” Stephen Davis and others spoke gives the impression the board and district endorse Davis’ statements.

“By boasting attendance on a social media page, it sends the message that CUSD and the board support the actions of this individual,” Nash said. “As we look to our Portrait of a Learner, we see attributes like empathy, critical thinking, collaboration and global citizen. I fail to see where violence, hate, exclusivity and uniformity fit in.”

The last sentence includes multiple standard left wing lies, including “hate” yet again. She throws in “violence” too, which is another newer and more disturbing tactic of the left. While the lying left is fine with the implication of actual physical violence and they will also make false claims of physical violence, the new tactic is to claim that anyone opposing them with words is engaging in “violence” against them. This is just upping the ante on trying to shut people down. It’s also used to excuse actual physical violence done by the left.

The left even has “Silence is Violence” slogans and signs. I think most of these were originally related to the Marxist “Black Lives Matter” goons, but the left will use it anywhere they think they can.

So more recently it’s not just that you must be shut down if you disagree with leftists, it’s now required that you obediently speak up in agreement with them! Yet another aspect of leftism that proves they are not just misguided and horribly wrong, they are evil.

In case you missed it, the unhinged loon who spouted the string of insults at Turning Point USA also mentioned “global citizen”. The majority of the left will refer to themselves this way. This is one of the many things they say that let you know that they’re anti-American. Their ideal is a one world government communist utopia with no borders, and everyone singing Kum Ba Ya.

I started with the big picture view, including a rough draft political spectrum with many notes, and moved to a specific example. I know you can find plenty of specific examples yourself, and some of you may have already been censored by the left on various social media platforms. ‘Twitter Files #19’ (TF 19) is another example that is both specific and wide ranging, and it includes admissions that true content is being censored. (“True content” meaning even the left wing censors admit it’s true, let alone the fact that almost all of what they censored was also true.)

TF 19 is worthy of its own post, but a couple items are of particular interest. The same people behind the censorship of truth about the 2020 election, were then involved in censoring truth about the “vaccines”:

Alex Stamos, the leftist head of both efforts (He did step down from the “vaccine” project later.) admitted that Stanford was doing things that were illegal for the government to do:

Now is a great time to point out my thoughts on this issue. There’s no way in hell the founders intended to allow private corporations, universities, etc. the ability to nullify God given rights either. Reading the 1st amendment to only mean government can’t censor you is a horrible mistake.

More on God given rights and private companies. Even if he intends to support free speech on Twitter*, Elon Musk is wrong about other companies.
