The "disinformation" lie - UPDATED 12-7-2022

As part of his recent public appearances, Obama repeated the lie in a revealing way.

For multiple years now, the left has employed a certain tactic to silence their political opposition. It’s not the only tactic the left uses, but it appears to be the most common one for the past several years. The tactic is to call any factual content that undermines their narratives “disinformation”, and if possible to suppress it or censor it completely. Odumbo has been out in public more lately, likely to distract from Biden’s growing shit show and mental incapacity, and he called for more censorship as he repeated the “disinformation” lie.

As part of his idiotic and dishonest comments, Obama repeated something that you can chalk up to another instance of the founders not anticipating what enemies of this country would do a couple hundred years down the line from the founding:

“The First Amendment is a check on the power of the state. It doesn’t apply to private companies like Facebook and Twitter,” he said, calling for more “value judgements” on content moderation and censorship on social media.

It’s a topic worthy of its own post, but for the Bill Of Rights to have the full effect and protection of the citizens of this country, of course individuals must be allowed full freedom of speech on any platform intended as any kind of public forum. Thus of course FascistBook and Twitter should NOT be allowed to censor or even “fact check” the content of users.

I would grant exceptions for “fact checking” if the “fact checker” was named and was only commenting like any other user, with the same mechanisms, format, and appearance available to all users, such that the original commenter could reply and refute any “fact check”. There would be financial penalties for any company, official, or quasi official “fact checkers” who made false claims on behalf of the public forum. This exception would allow for some spectacular takedowns of ill informed and/or lying “fact checkers”, and that alone is enough reason to allow it.

Going further, assuming an individual is not simply bashing his or her employer, then no medium to large company should be able to fire, hire, and/or promote based on any applicant or employee exercising his or her free speech rights. I’m omitting small companies for now only because one employee using his/her free speech rights to push boundaries could potentially cause the entire small company to fail, even if they are not engaged in bashing the company they work for. I would bet money that had the founders foreseen the growth of corporate employment they would have indeed reworded the Bill Of Rights to make clear that private employers could not punish employees for exercising their rights either.

Getting back the “disinformation” lie, to see how big it is and in fact how backwards it is, let’s look at some of the biggest left wing lies of the past 6 years or so that are actual disinformation:

1. Trump colluded with Russia. Even 12 rabid dog democrat lawyers (with one figurehead RINO who was also a doddering old fool), many of them if not all extremely dishonest, working for about 3 years came up with nothing.

2. There was ample evidence of Trump’s collusion with Russia. Not only did the 12 rabid dogs fail to come up with anything that they could even spin to maintain the lie, but John Durham is in the process of exposing just how deep the Hillary Clinton campaign and various left wing operatives were in creating and then pushing the lie.

3. Putin wanted Trump to win in 2016 and in 2020. I’m not sure what level of stupid you had to be to believe this even back in 2017 to 2019, but Putin’s waiting for the dementia Joe puppet show to occupy the white house before he invaded Ukraine should have put that idiotic notion completely to rest.

4. Trump is a racist. There is absolutely zero evidence for this, and no one ever made this claim prior to Trump running as a Republican. In fact you can find many pictures and old news stories where even some of the race hustling pimps like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton were seen with Trump on a very friendly basis.

5. Corona was a threat to everyone regardless of age or health status. While those specific words may not have been used, that was the gist of the fear porn. None of the so called “experts” touted by the CDC, the NIH, etc. came out and clarified just how rare it was for healthy people to die from Corona, nor did they clarify that the elderly were at 10,000 times the risk of healthy young people.

6. Cloth masks with relatively massive holes in them can stop airborne viruses. We don’t even have to consider the loose fit and thus gaping wide openings around the nose or at the back of the cheeks, the pores in the cloth itself are like the analogy of trying to stop mosquitoes with a chain link fence. The fact that some portion of the mosquitoes are on tennis balls that can get stopped temporarily with a clean dry mask in the first 5 minutes or so of wearing does not change that one bit.

7. There is “new science” in the area of filtration and virus sizes. No, hell no, the science of filtration has not changed. Nor are Corona viruses massively larger, nor has the size of exhaled droplets, coughed droplets, and sneezed droplets changed. Nor has the science of droplet evaporation changed, whereby even droplets large enough to be caught by any given filtering material can and will get smaller over time such that they can then pass through.

8. Surgical masks can stop airborne viral spread. Again, hell no. While the filtration of a proper surgical masks is better than almost all cloth masks, the fit is still horrid in terms of air going around the mask in both directions, and not even five three layers masks on top of one another (15 total layers) can stop moisture from a person’s breath from going through all the layers.

9. Lockdowns can stop the spread of airborne viruses. This has been shown to be false again and again and again. All they did was destroy the economy, destroy lives, and in fact kill hundreds of thousands of people in many different ways.

10. The 2020 election was the safest and most secure in history. In addition to some of my previous posts on this here, here, and here, see the upcoming ‘2000 Mules’ documentary to see how big of a lie this is.

11. Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation”. This lie was maintained for about 16 months, but for the most part the left has now acknowledged that it is real if they mention it at all. Look for the content of that laptop to get thousands of times more attention from the left when they finalize their plan to jettison Biden from the white house. Had Kamala not been so absolutely obnoxious and also incredibly dumb, Biden would have already been sent packing.

12. The Corona “vaccines” will keep you from getting Corona. This lie was actually dropped after about 7 months when no amount of spin could keep it afloat.

13. The Corona “vaccines” will keep the “vaccinated” from spreading Corona. Also dropped after about 7 months.

14. The Corona “vaccines” will keep you from dying. They’re still trying to maintain this one, and data is being hidden in many different countries as part of that effort.

15. The Corona “vaccines” are safe. They’re still working really hard to keep this lie going, because billions of dollars are on the line as are many reputations, and possibly freedom from prison for many. Check out VAERS Summary to see just how unsafe they are.

That list was just off the top of my head. I could list dozens more if I wanted to spend more time on it. And on all or nearly all of the items on this list, left wing media and left wing tech sites have referred to the truth on all of these as “disinformation” or “misinformation”. In many cases, even if truthful posts or comments are allowed to stay on any given platform, they will have horribly false “fact checks” or similar attached to them, and the users who make the posts or comments will be threatened, limited, shadow banned, and/or downranked such that their content is far less likely to be seen. FascistBook has done this to me dozens of times and perhaps a few hundred times overall.

So when you hear any left winger anywhere calling for censorship, including Odumbo calling for more censorship just last week, you need to see it for what it is. An authoritarian effort to silence political enemies. Other than the fact that people telling the truth have other options such as Substack (for now), Gab, and various other Conservative or actually neutral sites, you need to realize that it is EXACTLY like Nazi Germany, Lenin’s/Stalin’s/etc. USSR, Mao’s and later rulers China, Castro’s Cuba, and pretty much any other tyrannical regime. The opposition always has to be silenced to ensure the tyrants can remain in power. People being allowed to speak the truth and expose the lies is always a threat to that power.

It’s actually worse in Europe and Australia, where there is nothing really like the first amendment restricting the tyrants there. That it’s gotten so far here in the U.S. even with the first amendment is mind boggling. The fact that the left is in a furor and melting down over Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter, coupled with his stated intentions to make sure Twitter allows free speech, tells you all you need to know to confirm everything I’ve said here.
