A quick example of how left wing media lies to you
Left wing media bias can be fully documented and quantified.
If you’ve been reading my posts here it’s pretty obvious I watch Tucker Carlson’s prime time show on Fox News. To remove any doubt I’ve probably seen every single Tucker Carlson episode this year, including every episode since Russia invaded Ukraine.
I can assure you that not one single time, in any way, has Tucker Carlson “supported” Russia invading. Tucker does not believe the following:
That Ukraine is strategically important to the U.S., especially with respect to risking nuclear war with Russia.
That the U.S. should be spending tens of billions more when the economy here is already so bad, including government spending feuled inflation.
That Ukraine is a democracy such that people are free to oppose the government, to name just one example.
None of the above points, held and/or stated by anyone anywhere, means that person supports the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Suggesting otherwise is a bald faced lie.
Claiming that people opposed to the U.S. spending billions to fight a proxy war with Russia (for an extremely corrupt country), actually support Russia, is roughly equivalent to saying that a person who decided against running into a burning building because it was too dangerous really wanted the people inside to burn to death. No one has to run into a burning building to prove that they wanted the people inside to survive.
And yet here was Newsweek a couple days ago doing just that:
News that the Ukrainian military had forced Russian combatants to retreat from major strategic holds near Kharkiv on Saturday led to widespread celebration online. Some, including activists and politicians, also took the opportunity to lambast Fox News host Tucker Carlson over his past support of the Russian invasion effort.
In an honest world this would be an instant charge of libel, even with the 1st amendment. The 1st amendment allows you to insult someone, call someone them an idiot, say that their ideas are ridiculous, etc., but it does not allow you to falsely claim someone did something or said something in order to make that person look bad.
Until we have some way to stop left wingers from lying about those on the right, just keep in mind that this is just one single lie in the very first paragraph of a Newsweek article. There are times you can go through a long article and there will one or more lies in nearly every paragraph. The left will spout falsehoods nearly continuously, both out of complete ignorance and out of dishonesty. When it’s the latter, they know they can do it because they know that their audience, however small it is these days, is dumb enough and gullible enough to believe them.
The picture above is a different topic but also from Newsweek. I needed a picture for this post, and while it’s old it’s a VERY educational piece with respect to the global warming lie.
