Two months ago I wrote about credibility among democrats, featuring an election history going back to 1964:
Like I said then, I’ve been around a while, so I’ve seen how the democrats have changed. They’ve moved further into communism/fascism, and also further into dishonesty and full on insanity. The net result is that it’s tough to find democrats with any credibility. RFK Jr. is another name I could add to the two I mentioned before. Two months ago I didn’t know that he still called himself a democrat. I’m sure RFK Jr. takes positions that I disagree with, but he’s damn right about the “vaccines” and in some other areas. If you’re too young to remember what democrats were like decades ago he can give you some idea.
For your own personal credibility test of people you know, yesterday’s “ruling” in the civil case against Trump, where a complete lunatic woman claimed Trump raped her in a dressing room about 30 years ago is an excellent example. The woman doesn’t remember the year, she thinks rape is sexy, she has rape fantasies, and she even managed to creep out Anderson Cooper in a 2019 CNN interview:
I cued the video up to the final 40 seconds so you don’t waste any time. If it doesn’t start at about the 1:07 mark just drag the slider at the bottom to that point and watch to see just what this woman is like. (Substack added the ability to watch YouTube videos inline.) Anderson Cooper says “Let’s take a break.” after hearing her say “I think most people think of rape as being sexy.”. Then she adds in “Think of the fantasies.”, at which point Cooper is thinking “FOR GOD’S SAKE LET’S TAKE A BREAK!!!”
The CNN interview is not all of it by any means. The woman has had an obsession with Trump for quite some time, among other issues. The story is linked in the picture:
Just looking at the FB post pictured above, does that sound like something a rape or sexual assault victim would say about their attacker???
There are more details in the article other than Carroll’s sexual interests. Her claims against Trump apparently originated at a party full of Never Trumpers having a TDS fest. From the article:
According to Washington Examiner writer Byron York, Carroll’s suit against Trump began at the home of NeverTrump blogger Molly Jong Fast:
The party was in honor of yet another Resistance figure, the comedian Kathy Griffin. Among those in attendance was still another Resistance figure, the lawyer George Conway. The gathering was, in the words of a New York Times account, “Resistance Twitter come to life.”
So a whole host of left wing loons was involved, which sounds all too familiar now in all the attacks against Trump.
To be clear, I don’t care if you dislike Trump or you even hate Trump, or whether you have some valid disagreements with Trump’s polices. If you actually believe that the “ruling” by the jury yesterday in the civil case brought by this lying lunatic is damning for Trump, you have NO credibility whatsoever. None.
The same goes if you know it’s a joke yet you’re willing to pretend that it means something. You’re such a lying liar that no one should take you seriously at all. You don’t deserve to be taken seriously, because nothing about this woman or her claims can be taken seriously, and anyone claiming otherwise has destroyed any credibility they may have had.
I think I’ve said this before in the Stack, but I’m sure I’ve written it before somewhere. I’m a people person, just not in the way that term is commonly used. I’m a people person in that I pay attention to what people are about, and I expect people to be consistent. In my experience, the vast majority of people are consistent. If you see that they are dishonest on something important, you can expect them to lie on other issues. If you see them lie on multiple issues, you should not trust them on anything.
Honesty is one huge part of credibility, and the other is intelligence. In many cases intelligence is synonymous with basic common sense. When you notice that someone consistently lacks common sense or otherwise does or says stupid stuff, you should not expect that person to suddenly become wise. Sure people can learn, just like all the people walking away form the left, but in general I expect that once someone demonstrates that they have no clue, I don’t expect them to have a clue later on.
So that’s why I say what happened yesterday is a perfect credibility test. Someone claiming that civil court decision, based on accusations of something that supposedly happened almost 30 years ago, proves that Trump is a rapist or molester of any kind is demonstrating severe stupidity, dishonesty, or a combination of both. You don’t really need to decide what the issue is, you just know that person has no credibility, and you should treat them as such.
Change my mind.
